Pioneer volleyball sweeps Panthers

The volleyball team hit the road Thursday defeating host, South Florida State College in straight sets, 25-18, 25-16, 25-22.

Indian River was in control of the match from the first set as SFSC put up a tough defensive battle. Sophomore, Flavia Rostetter (14 kills, 5 digs, 1 ace, 1 block) and freshmen Lindsay Glynn (11 kills, 8 digs, 2 aces, 1 block) helped pave the way to victory. Setter, Jordan Shoemaker (30 assists, 3 kills,  10 digs) and libero, Becca Sills (17 digs) played key roles in the Pioneer's win.

Indian River is now 3-2 on the season and will be back on the road this weekend at host school East Florida State College for matches at 1:00 and 3:00.  Indian River will see Santa Fe College and Florida State College at Jacksonville as they look to improve their record.
