IRSC Defeats Florida Institute of Technology.

This past weedned, the IRSC men's and women's swim team travelled to the campus of Florida Tech to take on the Panthers in head to head competition.
 
Both teams came away from the competition with a victory which saw the women take 11 of the 14 events, and the men take 12 of the 14 events. For the women, event wins came from both the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay. Leading the way for the women was Savanna Best who won three individual races in the 50 and 100 Breaststroke and the 400 IM. Other event winners were Hannah Kiely (50 and 100 back), Victoria Ortiz (1000 free), Charlise Oberholzer (200 free), Taryn Dailey (100 fly), and Emma Colvin (50 free).
 
On the men's side, Jarryd Baxter also secured three event wins in the 200, 500, and 1000 frestyle. Other event wins came from Olle Williamsson (50 and 100 breast), Carlos Cartagena (50 back), Brennan Hammond (100 fly), Jhon Moncada (100 back), Liam Henry (50 fly), and Aramis Rivera (400 IM). IRSC also won both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
 
Fianl team scores: Women, IRSC 163 – FIT 96. Men, IRSC 183 – FIT 79
 
IRSC will next compete against Union College on December 12th at 2pm.
