IRSC Defeats Florida Institute of Technology.

The IRSC men's and women's swim team were on the road for the first time this season when they travelled to the campus of Florida Tech to take on the Panthers in head to head competition. The day was highlighted by freshman Jarryd Baxter who broke the NJCAA record in the 1000yard freestyle. His time of 9:02.11 took over 12 seconds of the old record set in 2016 (9:14.36). His time also places him amongst the top 8 of all competitors in that event in any division nationwide. Baxter would also go on to win the 200 back, 200 IM, and be part of the winning 400 free relay.

Both teams came away from the competition with a victory which saw the women take 11 of the 14 events, and the men take 13 of the 14 events. For the women, event wins came from both the 400 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay. Individual winners were Elizabeth Watts (1000 free), Jillian Contich (100 Back), Savanna Best (100 breast), Camryn Hudson (200 fly, 500 free), Camryn Wheals (50 free), Sophia Diagne (100 free), Sule van der Merwe (200 back), and Emma Colvin (100 fly).
