Bio

Jamarra Robinson begins her Sixth season as the Head Coach of Indian River State College (IRSC) Women's Basketball Program. Throughout the last five seasons Coach Robinson has changed the culture and outlook on the women's basketball program. This past season The River finished the season with an impressive record of 26-5; with an undefeated home record of 10-0. The Pioneers was also named 2023 Southern Conference Champs. Coach Robinson earned Southern Conference Coach of the Year award.

Under Coach Robinson leadership the Pioneers have made three consecutives Region VIII Final Four Tournament appearances. In 2022 the River was named Region VIII State Runner Ups. In 2023 season the River also saw many individual honors: Rapuluchi Ngorka was named 2023 Player of the Year, she also made NJCAA All American team and her jersey was retired in the Ring of Honor located in Nashville Tennessee. Tavi Habib was named to the All State Team and Region VII Tournament team.

Prior to arriving to Indian River, Robinson completely turned the program around at her alma mater Centennial High School. The girls’ basketball team earned back-to-back appearances in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) District Finals and advanced to the regional round in 2018 after being crowned District Champions. The 2017–'18 season also saw many individual honors for members of the team: Robinson named the FHSAA Coach of the Year for District 9 Class 2A and 2018 TC Palm Coach of the Year, and team member Lindsey O'Sullivan was nominated as 2018 TC Palm Player of the Year.

Before arriving to Centennial Robinson gained valuable collegiate experience as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach at Indian River State College (2014 – 2015) and Saint Petersburg College (2015 -2016). Her time in the college ranks gave her the opportunity to coach six FCSAA All-Southern Conference players and build a valuable network among the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region VIII community.

Coach Robinson had an impressive playing career while at Palm Beach State College, she was named FCSAA First Team all-conference both years. Robinson went on to Graduate and finish her playing career at Saint Leo University.

Coach Robinson is a native of Fort Pierce, FL and the mother to Ariah Jae who is Four years old. In 2016 she completed her Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration from Concordia Irvine University
