Women’s Basketball Defeats St Thomas JV

On Monday Afternoon in Fort Pierce, Indian River Women's Basketball defeated St Thomas JV 97 – 34. The River took the lead and never looked back, Coach Robinson noted "it was good to finally play someone, since this is our second game in two weeks." With Cancellations and Hurricane Nicole the River last game was November 6th against Warner JV.

The River had 6 players finish in double digits, sophomore guard Tavi Habib led the River in scoring tallying 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Rapuluchi Ngorka added 16 points and 11 rebounds, Makala Torrence scored 13 points, Janiah Alexander contributed 11 points, five rebounds and five assists. Freshmen Kailyn Peters added 11 points.

The River will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Palm Beach State to face nationally ranked Illinois Central Friday and Florida State College of Jacksonville Saturday.
