The River women’s basketball wins at home

Indian River State College picks up a win at home against Elite Sports Prep 67 to 6; the River jumped out to a 31 to 0 lead and never looked back. Freshmen Nyanna Williams led all scorers with 14 points five steals and five rebounds. Freshmen Jaqarra Phillips added 11 points and sophomore Je'Nya Wilder came off the bench scoring 11 points and seven rebounds. "Each game we continue to have someone step up big for us and tonight it was Freshmen Nyanna, we have to continue putting the pieces together and getting better each day," Coach Robinson added.

The Pioneers shot an impressive 90 percent from the free throw line, an addition to a season low turnover performance including six during tonight's game. "Tonight we wanted to come out and work on our execution, I felt like the girls did just that," Coach Robinson noted.

Indian River Women's Basketball team will be back in action at Home Tuesday November 19th, against Daytona State College.
