WBB Suffers first road loss

Indian River State College women's basketball program traveled to Ocala, FL to face College of Central Florida on Wednesday afternoon. After a highly contested match, the River suffered their first road loss of the season to the Patriots 73-62.

Freshmen Breanna Campbell has been a consistent force for the River scoring 13 points and four rebounds. Coach Robinson mention "we came out flat and it took us awhile to get going, at this level you can't afford to get behind which costed us at the end."

Freshmen Chakoi Mitchell also added 9 points and 8 rebounds for the River. "We are relying heavily on our freshmen right now, they are stepping up big for us while continuing to learn how to be successful in our system," Coach Robinson noted.

The Pioneers will have another road test against Santa Fe College on Saturday at 2pm.
