IRSC Women’s Basketball Lose to Dade

The Pioneers first half defensive struggles caused IRSC to go into halftime down 27. The River could not recover from the huge halftime lead in the 117- 70 loss.

Coach Braddy pointed out "Defensively we didn't accept the challenge to step up and compete in each possession. We allowed them to control the tempo of the game. In our last four games we will need to commit to improving defensively"

Leah Dunn had another great performance contributing a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Kiandra Hooks added a career high 16 points. Kierra Patrick returning to action form an injury added 14 points. Angelica Flores added 10 and Kayla Bell tossed in 12 points for IRSC.

The River continued the team's offensive consistency having four to five players scoring in double digits each game. Defensively, "The River "has to buckle down with only four games left. Coach Braddy thinks the team is determined to finish strong!.

The River will begin the last round of conference play February 16th at Palm Beach State College. Game time is 2pm.
