Palm Beach Uses 4th Quarter Run to Defeat Indian River

On Wednesday January 30th IRSC Women's Basketball faced Palm Beach State at home in a conference matchup. In a game that saw several lead changes Palm Beach used a late fourth quarter run to secure a 76-65 win over the Pioneers. Despite forcing 18 turnovers the Panthers outscored the River in the second half which propelled them to the 11 point lead.

The River had several players score in double digits but the defensive effort was the difference in the outcome of the game. Sophomore shooting guard Angelica Flores led all scorers with 15 points, freshmen point guard Kayla Bell contributed 13 points, Alexis Siler and Lead Dunn added 11 apiece.

Coach Braddy mentioned "Offensively we executed the way we wanted to but too but we missed defensive assignments which caused us to fall short. We will continue working on improving the areas we're struggling with the most."

The River will be back in action February 2nd taking on ASA in Miami.
