ASA Defeats IRSC

IRSC Women's Basketball team started the game competing with ASA possession for possession, The River went into halftime up 37-35, but ASA came out with a huge third quarter push propelling ASA to an 83-75 victory over "The River."

Coach Braddy noted that "A couple key possession was the difference maker in this game, we turned the ball over late and ASA capitalized off our mistakes. We're beginning to understand what it takes to win basketball games and every possession matters."

Sophomore Angelica Flores had a career high with 24 points and 4 rebounds, shooting an impressive 6 for 7 from the free-throw line. Kiandra Hooks contributed 13 points, freshmen Leah Dunn added 11 points.

The River will return to action in a home contest against Broward College on February 6th, game time is 5:30. "The River" will be fighting to earn the team's first conference win of the season.
