Despite Angelica Flores efforts Women’s Basketball Fails to HCC

On Saturday Afternoon IRSC women's basketball program tipped off against Hillsborough Community College. Despite several comeback attempts the River dug themselves in a big hole in the first quarter which caused them to lose 70-52.

Sophomore shooting guard Angelica Flores led all scorers with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Flores shot an impressive 50% from behind the arc, hitting five three's.

Freshmen guard Mariah Perez came off the bench and contributed 9 points and 4 rebounds. Coach Robinson pointed out "how we are slowly putting together the pieces and finding ways to compete, we must continue to get better daily and it start with our effort in practice."

The River will be on the road December 11th against Florida State College of Jacksonville for a non-conference matchup.
