IRSC Women’s Basketball Wins at Home

On Monday afternoon, Indian River State College women's basketball program defeated Trinity College 74 to 52. The river outscored Trinity College 21 to 9 in the fourth quarter which lead to the women's basketball program earning their first win of the 2018-2019 season.

Angelica Flores led all scorers with 24 points including 4 three point field goals. Sophomore Kiandra Hooks contributed 15 points, 7 assist and four steals. Freshmen point guard Kayla Bell also scored a career high of 10 points. Coach Robinson mentioned that "since our last game we've been working on during a better job defending and rebounding, this afternoon we did that. Which opened up more scoring opportunities for everyone."

The River will be back in action this weekend in the Daytona State Classic, tipping off November 16th at 5pm vs Hillsborough and November 17th vs Daytona State at 4pm.
