Indian River State Women’s Basketball suffers lose against Daytona State

On Tuesday evening, IRSC women's basketball faced Daytona State College in a non-conference matchup. The River got off to a slow start that resulted in the team being down 7 to 22 in the first quarter.

Coach Robinson mentioned "As a team we are learning who we are and what we will be known for, we're understanding the importance of competing for 40 minutes." The River lost to DSC 80 – 55, Coach Robinson stated that "we're learning how to overcome adversity without becoming defeated, we're creating a culture of competing every day to accomplish our ultimate goal. We have to continue to improve defensively and offensively to improve our shooting percentages."

 Sophomore Kiara Cadore led the River with 13 points and Sophomore Kierra Patrick added 12 points and 5 rebounds.

 Indian River State Women's basketball program is back in action Monday November 12th against Trinity College at Noon.
