IRSC Women’s Basketball Drops Season Opener

First Half mistakes caused the River to drop home opener 66 to 59. Due to the slow start the River found themselves down by 22 after only scoring 14 points in the first half.

After making some adjustments at halftime the River came out with heart, passion and intensity outscoring FSCJ by 10 points in the third quarter. Indian River continued to fight by cutting the league to 6 within the fourth quarter but it wasn't enough to complete a comeback.

Sophomore guard Kiara Cadore led all scorers with a career high of 27 points, three rebounds one Assist and one steal.

The women's team displayed a glimpse of the culture in the second half Coach Robinson is building at IRSC. As a new era has begun at the River, the women's basketball team demonstrated a new form of fight that will be shown throughout the season.
