Bio

An alumnus of the program (2014-2016), Kasey Cox enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Pioneers. 

 

Prior to IRSC, Cox was the assistant at LSU-Eunice for three seasons overseeing the outfield, hitting, recruiting, and assisting in other areas. In her three years, the Bengal’s had a world series appearance and produced five NJCAA All-Americans. 

 

From 2018-2020, Cox spent two years as a Graduate Assistant at Mississippi College. While with the Choctaws, Cox helped lead Mississippi College to a school record 40 wins in 2019, advancing to the finals of the NCAA Division II South Regional.


Prior to coaching, Cox was a three-year starter at Tennessee State University.  Cox started in 107 games for the Tigers. She began her collegiate playing career at Indian River State College before transferring to Tennessee State. 
 
The Indianapolis, Indiana native moved to Florida in high school, enjoying a breaking senior season at Jensen Beach High School capturing first-team All-State honors.  Cox was also an All-State performer in basketball.
 
She was twice named to the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
 
Cox graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance and Sports Science/Exercise Science from Tennessee State University in May of 2018.  She earned her Master’s in Athletic Administration from Mississippi College in May of 2020.
