Indian River Drops Two to Eastern Florida

Indian River State College women's softball team lost both games of a double header to Eastern Florida Monday night in Ft. Pierce 3-0 and 4-3.

In the opening game sophomore pitcher Devan Ryan didn't allow an earned run in her seven innings of work in the circle.

Bridgett Dunham and Daija Torchia had the only hits in the game for the Pioneers.

In game two IRSC with IRSC leading in the fifth Eastern Florida scored three runs to tie the game at 3-3.  Eastern added the winning run scoring on a Pioneer error in the sixth.

Macie Stanfield took the loss for the Pioneers.

Daija Torchia had two hits for the pioneers.

IRSC remains atop the conference standings, leading Eastern Florida by four games.  The pioneers hit the road on Wednesday taking on Miami Dade.  Game times are at 2:00 & 4:00.
