IRSC Softball Sweeps South Florida State

IRSC women's softball team won twice on Saturday defeating South Florida State College 2-1 and 3-2.

In the opening game Bridgett Dunham's sacrifice fly drove in the winning run, scoring Daija Torchia in the hard fought 2-1 victory.

Sophomore pitcher Taylor Barrett tossed a complete game one hitter, striking out eleven Panther hitters.

In the second game 3-2 win sophomore pitcher Taylor Wroten went the distance.  Wroten allowed no earned runs, allowed three hits, striking out five.

Cassidy Crump, Nikki Luzzi, had two hits each to pace the Pioneer offense.

The conference leading Pioneers play Monday in Ft. Pierce, taking on Eastern Florida State college.  Game times in Ft. Pierce are at 5:00 & 7:00.
