Indian River State College Splits with #3 nationally ranked Florida Southwestern

Freshman third baseman Crystal Grimaldo fired up the offense in the first inning driving in the game's first run with a run scoring double. IRSC added six runs more in the second inning. Adriana Otero, Michalyn Bingham, and Dream Aaron all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Freshman pitcher Liz Gollin (4-0) got the win for IRSC. She lasted seven innings, allowing ten hits, four runs, striking out eight and walking one. 

The Lady Pioneers collected ten hits. Taylor Strickland, Bingham, and Aaron all managed multiple hits for IRSC. Aaron, Bingham, and Strickland each collected two hits to lead "The River".

IRSC fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-1 loss to Florida Southwestern. FSW took the lead on a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Dawn Bodrug (2-1) toed the rubber for IRSC. She allowed nine hits and eight runs, three earned, over seven innings, striking out six. Jaden Kline, Adriana Otero, Michalyn Bingham, and Savannah Julylia each collected one each for IRSC
