IRSC Swimming and Diving competes at Nova Southeastern University

The Indian River swimming and diving teams travelled to the campus of NOVA Southeastern University to compete against the men's and women's team from Nova Southeastern, and the men's team from the University of Florida on Friday September 27th, 2019.

In the women's competition, IRSC produced two event winners from freshmen Victoria Ortiz in the 200 free, and Hannah Kiley in the 200 a back The men's competition was considered a "double dual" in which scoring was done separately with each team (IRSC versus Nova, and IRSC versus UF). Florida's men proved to be too strong for both teams, but the competition between IRSC and NOVA produced some close races from start to finish. NOVA would be the eventual winners but not without wins from IRSC freshmen Brennan Hammond (200 free), Jack Oliver (100 back), and Aramis Rivera (200 breast).

Final team scores,

Women: IRSC 71 - Nova 191
Men: IRSC 83 - Nova 179, IRSC 219 – UF 219

IRSC will next compete at home in the annual Dr. George Kojac Memorial Invitational on October 5th, and then travel to Florida Atlantic University on October 25th.
