Malin Wallen - 2018 FCSAA Female Student-Athlete of the Year.

At the recent Council for Athletic Affairs meetings held in Tampa, it was announced that Indian Rivers Malin Wallen was named the 2018 Florida College System Athletic Association Female Student-Athlete of the year.

Malin, who comes to IRSC from Sweden, joined the swimming and diving team in the fall of 2016. During her time at IRSC, she became a 9 time NJCAA All-American, was named to the All-Florida Academic Team, earned College Swim Coaches Association of America All-American status, was an IRSC top 10% Student Athlete, and also took part in numerous volunteer and community service projects.

Malin graduated with highest honors this past spring and will continue as a student-athlete this coming fall at Florida Southern College.
