Indian River Hosts Union College
The IRSC swimming and diving teams continued their home swim meet on December 6th with a win against Union college. IRSC won 29 of the 30 events contested with the final scores of 209-54 in the women's meet, and a score of 210-67 in the men's meet.
Individual wins for the women came from Olivia Berglund (50 and 100 breaststroke), Courtney Stewart (50 freestyle and 100 backstroke), Courtney Perrett (500 freestyle and 200 IM), Domineeka Luis (1m and 3m Diving), Elizabeth Watts (50 and 100 butterfly), Sule van der Merwe (200 free) Jillian Contich (50 backstroke), and Elianna Kennon (100 freestyle).
The Men's individual wins came from Ruben van Leeuwen (200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke), Luka Tomic (50 breaststroke and 100 backstroke), Kevin Bargate (100 butterfly and 100 freestyle), Guillaume Bolivard (50 backstroke), Ryen van Wyk (50 freestyle), Ryan Pilkington (500 freestyle), Conor Lynch (50 butterfly), Gavrilo Blijden (3m diving), and Gabi Sasia (200 IM).
Both the men's and women's team also won the 200 medley and 200 free relays.
Up next for the IRSC team will be the Spartan Invite hosted by the University of Tampa on December 15th-18th in Clearwater Florida.
