Kyle Brown Named to All-FCSAA Tournament Team

NICEVILLE, FL - Indian River State College (IRSC) Sophomore Kyle Brown was named to the All-FCSAA Division I Tournament Team after an outstanding performance in an 80-83 loss against #3 ranked Chipola College. Brown led the team with 22 points on 9-for-11 shooting including four for four from the three-point line. Brown also added four assists while serving as the central cog of The River's effective zone offense. Led by Brown, IRSC torched the #2 ranked defensive team in the country scoring 80 points, 18 points higher than Chipola's 62 point defensive average.

"I'm very proud of Kyle. This was his first time playing in an environment like that and he didn't shy away from the moment at all. Playing a great team like that, in a big arena, in front of 50 or so NCAA Division I scouts can be a lot for a first-timer. He looked like the seasoned vet that he is that day," said Head Coach Bill Morosco.

In conference play Brown averaged 12 points per game and six rebounds per game while shooting 54.5% from the field and 41.5% from three.
