Men's Basketball Blows out SCF On The Road

Indian River Men's Basketball earns their second straight conference road win on Saturday in impressive fashion with a 103-69 win over State College of Florida. Going into the game both teams were tied for first place in the Southern Conference and after Saturday's win Indian River is in sole possession of first place in the Southern Conference.

The Pioneers were led by Micah Octave who scored a game high 32 points while making four threes and shooting 50% from the field. Antoine Jacks was another Pioneer scoring in double figures as he had 14 points to go with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Jayshayne Woodard recorded another double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Ocypher Owens was the other Pioneer to score in double figures adding 13 points. Coach Morosco's thoughts on the game "SCF is a very talented team and well coached team. I'm proud of how our guys competed, especially on the defensive end never allowing them to get comfortable and we were able to force a lot of turnovers because of it and get a big conference road win."
