IRSC Men's Basketball hosted Miami Dade and protected home court, coming away with the win and a final score of 83-74. The Pioneers went into halftime with a 54-21 advantage, but Miami Dade made six 3s in the second half to help close the gap. The Pioneers were led by Micah Octave who scored 28 points on 5 made 3s to go with 10 rebounds. Pablo Tamba getting his first start of the year scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. Jyre Mccloud scored 13 and Ocypher Owens scored 11, while Antoine Jacks dished out 9 assists. Miami Dade was led by Jamichael Stillwell who score 19 points on four made 3s. Coach Morosco's thoughts on the game "Miami Dade is a talented and very well coached team. Our guys did a great job in the first half executing the gameplan, we made some mistakes in the second half which Miami Dade took advantage of, but I'm proud of our guys keeping their composure and making plays down the stretch to get the win."
