IRSC Men’s Basketball Puts On A Dominant Showing in Florida vs Georgia Thanksgiving Classic

IRSC Men's Basketball got off to a great start in the Florida vs Georgia Thanksgiving Classic this weekend with a 122-72 win over Gordon State. The Pioneers were led by Jayshayne Woodard and Jyre Mccloud. Woodard scored 22 points to go with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Jyre Mccloud also had 22 point to go with 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The Pionners had 7 players who scored in double figures. Micah Octave scored 15, Deng Majak scored 14, Pablo Tamba scored 12, Mostapha El Moutaouakkil scored 11, and Ocypher Owens scored 10. Gordon State was led by Christian Watkins who scored 20 points on the night. Coach Morosco's thoughts on the game "Gordon State is a well coached team and they gave us a lot of different looks tonight. Our guys did a great job executing and playing together tonight in order to get this win."

The Pioneers were led by Jyre Mccloud who had a game high 25 points and 12 rebounds. Jayshayne Woodard also had a double-double for the Pioneers with 10 point and 11 rebounds. The Pioneers had five players score in double figures for the game. Deng Majak had 18 points while Micah Octave and Pablo Tamba each had 10. Georgia Highlands was led by Akili Evans who had 19 points. Coach Morosco's thoughts on the game "Georgia Highlands is a very talented team, they are big, physical and play hard. Our guys responded to the challenge they brought us today and we were able to get the win."
