Men's Basketball Defeats FSCJ

IRSC Men's basketball opened their season with a win Tuesday night in Coach Morosco's first game as the Pioneers head coach. Defensively, the Pioneers set the tone forcing FSCJ into 23 turnovers on the night. Offensively, the Pioneers were led by Micah Octave who had a game high 29 points and 10 rebounds. Jyre Mccloud also had a strong performance with 19 points and 3 steals. Pablo Tamba was the other pioneer to score in double figures with 14 points, and Jayshayne Woodard had a game high 15 rebounds.

Coach Morosco's thoughts on tonight's game "FSCJ played really hard. Coach Burnell does a great job and made us earn everything tonight. Our guys competed at a high level, played unselfish basketball and should be proud of their performance tonight."

The Pioneers will be back in action November 4th and 5th against SW Tenennesse and North Florida Prep.
