Fort Pierce, Florida – The Indian River State College (IRSC) Men's Basketball Team got off to a slow start on Wednesday night against Southern Conference foe, Broward College. The Pioneers pushed the pace in the second half and the lead was down to 9 after two made free-throws by DeJuan Lockett, 60-51. A defensive stop and a made three-point shot pulled IRSC closer cutting the lead to 60-54. Broward converted two free-throws making the lead 62-54, but Lockett hit back to back lay-ups cutting Broward's advantage to 4 points with just under 13 minutes remaining in the game, 62-58.
