IRSC Men Score 133 Points For 16th Win

Fort Pierce, Florida – The Indian River State College (IRSC) Men's Basketball Team scored their season high in total points with a 133-57 victory over Florida National JV.  IRSC took control of the game early and built a 38-16 advantage with 9:53 in the first half on an old-fashioned 3-point play by Kimani Binder.  High flying Chris McCray got the Pioneer crowd excited on back to back to back slam dunks.  The first from the left wing, the second a two-hand follow, and the third from the right wing propelling the lead to 40 points, 59-19 with 5:31 to remaining in the first half.  IRSC went into the locker-room at halftime with a 72-30 advantage.

 The second half was no different for the Pioneers as they broke the century mark with 13:38 on a Tadre Morse slam dunk.  The win moved IRSC's record to 16-4 overall and was their last non-conference contest.  Jai Clark led the home team in scoring with 27 points (nine 3-point baskets), followed by Kimani Binder 22, Chris McCray 20, DeJuan Lockett 16, Kahleel Ellis-Garcia 14, Charlie Daniels and Micah Johnson each added 10.  The Pioneers dominated the rebounds, outrebounding Florida National 64-28, with McCray and Ellis-Garcia pulling in 11 rebounds apiece.
