Indian River State College Men Defeat ASA

IRSC men's basketball team collected their 9^th conference win on Saturday as they defeated ASA 104-90.

It was not an easy win for the Pioneers as they trailed by 1 at the half 48-47 and didn't take the lead until Oliver Ehrnvall connected on a three-point shot giving IRSC a 62-59 lead.  Deontae Weaver scored two three-point buckets to increase the lead to 89-76 with 4:44 left in the game, and the Pioneers would keep the lead in double digits the remainder of the contest. 

Leading scorer for The River was Justin Tucker who had a big night scoring 27 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.  He controlled both ends of the glass and converted on 11-14 field goals.  Other top scorers were Cedric Jackson 22, Deontae Weaver 15, and Anthony Brown with 13 points.    

IRSC will next be in action on February 27^th when they take on Broward College in Fort Pierce with a 7 p.m. tip-off.
