Baseball Defeats Inspiration Academy

Gabe Wright came to the ballpark and meant business on Friday, driving in seven on three hits to lead Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity past Inspiration Academy 22-2 on Friday.  Wright drove in runs on a home run in the first, a double in the third, a sacrifice fly in the fourth, and a home run in the sixth.

Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity grabbed an early lead.  Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity scored on a single by Connor Foscow, a single by Raul Feliz, a home run by Wright, a single by Jassiel Valbuena, a double by Camren Caroll, a triple by Foscow, and a single by Feliz in the first inning.

Jace Trautner was the winning pitcher for Indian River State College Pioneers Varsity. The pitcher went three innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out five.  Jefferey Gonzalez and Alexis Ruiz entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
