Bitner Dominates and The River Takes Game 3 Over Eastern Florida

The River offense exploded for 9 runs in the 6^th to give starter Nikolas Bitner plenty of run support for the Freshman to work with.  However, Bitner did not need much help as he dominated from pitch one in the 12-0 victory on Saturday.  Bitner threw a complete game shutout while striking out 5 and only allowing 3 hits on the day.  Bitner earned his 4^th win of the year and is now sitting at 4-2 this season. 

IRSC mashed 14 hits in the 7-inning game on Saturday.  It was a complete team effort, as 8-9 hitters in the lineup contributed with a base hit in the ballgame.  The offense really exploded in the 6^th inning with a 9-run inning.  JD Stubbs stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and a chance to break open the game.  Stubbs didn't disappoint, as he blasted a grand slam over the right field wall for his 3^rd home run of the year.  Stubbs drove in a total of 6 runs on the day.  Axel Salgado pitched in with one knock and 3 RBI's on the day.  Cole Brutcher, AJ Hrica, and Hunter Holland all had multi-hit games as well.
