Eastern Florida Gets the Best of IRSC in Game 2

The Pioneers continued to have a tough time playing on the road as they lost game 2 to Eastern Florida by a score of 8-6.  The River offense came out firing on all cylinders as they scored 6 runs in the first 4 innings.  Unfortunately, the Eastern Florida pitching staff settled in and blanked IRSC for the remainder of the game.  JD Stubbs had a big day at the plate as he went 3-4 and drove in one run.  Axel Salgado has been as reliable as they come.  Salgado delivered another 2-hit game and he also knocked in 2 runs.  Hunter Holland also contributed with 2 hits and 2 RBI's.

Tyler Suellentrop toed the rubber for IRSC in game 2.  Suellentrop suffered his 1st loss of the year as a starter.  He went 4.1 innings allowing 6 earned runs and he struck out 8 batters.  Tyler Lavery held Eastern Florida at bay for the rest of the game once Suellentrop exited.  Lavery tossed 3.2 innings giving up only 1 unearned run while striking out 2 hitters.
