The River Offense Explodes Against Lafleche College

IRSC bounced back nicely in a Monday home win against Lafleche College.  The offense continued to make strides as they had 9 hits and 10 RBI's in the 11-5 win.  Paul Benitez and Michael Stovman led the way in RBI's with 3 each for IRSC.  Stovman also blasted his first career home run to right field in his first at bat of the game.  Brett Mercier added in 2 RBI's with a 2-hit performance.  Danny Camilo capped off the impressive day at the plate for The River with a 2-4 performance with 2 doubles and an RBI.

 

Not only did Stovman make an impact on the game offensively, but he also dominated on the mound as the starting pitcher for IRSC.  Stovman continued to put the Pioneers in a position to win as he went 6 strong innings, striking out 8, and allowing 0 earned runs.  Stovman picked up his team leading 4th victory of the year, and is still undefeated this season.  Travis Perry tossed two very good innings in the 7th and the 8th as he allowed 0 runs.  Jarred Morgan shut the door in the 9th inning.  The River will be back in action at home on Friday against ASA College.
