IRSC had another rough day at the plate in Friday's matchup. The Pioneers were able to muster up 7 hits, but they couldn't push any runs across the board in the 6-0 loss to Palm Beach State. 7 different River hitters contributed with singles in the ballgame and Carter Chancey added in a stolen base.
The ball was in the hands of Justin Alintoff in Friday's matchup for The River. Alintoff took the loss surrendering 6 runs in 5 innings while striking out 5. The bullpen was a huge bright spot for IRSC as Jack Durkin and Travis Perry combined for 4 shutout innings of baseball after Alintoff exited. Perry threw 3 innings tallying 3 K's while only allowing 1 hit in his stint out of the pen.
