The River Loses a Late Lead in Game 2

IRSC took a 6-3 lead into the bottom of the 7th against Eastern Florida in Friday night's game.

The River looked primed and ready to win game 2 of the series.  However, a few Pioneer blunders and a few hits from Eastern Florida, lead to Eastern taking the lead 7-6 which would end up being the final score.  The River lost despite out-hitting Eastern Florida 14 to 11.  The offense was lead by Axel Salgado who went 4-4 on the day with an RBI.  Danny Camilo, Hunter Holland, and AJ Hrica all had multiple hit games. 

The highlight for The River on the night, was starting pitcher Justin Alintoff.  Alintoff went 6 innings allowing 0 earned runs and striking out 12 while only walking 1.  Alintoff's ERA now sits at 1.70 and he has an astonishing 45 K's and only 5 walks in 26.1 innings.  Travis Perry and Tyler Suellentrop also entered the game on Friday night in relief for the Pioneers.  Suellentrop took the loss going 2 innings and giving up 1 run while striking out 5.
