The Pioneers took on the Seahawks from Broward College Tuesday in an afternoon barnburner. The game was not light on offense as both teams traded blows throughout the afternoon leading to 27 runs being scored in total. Seven of the nine innings saw runs scored in this one resulting in a 16-11 win for the Seahawks.
The Pioneer offense was led by AJ Hrica who has had a stellar freshman year that has only gotten better as the season progresses. Hrica recorded three hits in the ballgame and added a walk to help keep his team in the game. Hrica's partner in crime was Kohl Gilmore who added three hits of his own as he continues to swing a smoldering hot stick late into the season.
The River has done a great job of bouncing back after series opening losses and looks to do the same Wednesday at Broward College.
