Bio

Stephanie Skidmore enters her twelfth  year at IRSC in a new role as Associate Athletic Director.  Previously Skidmore spent 11 seasons as IRSC’s Head volleyball coach. While at IRSC Skidmore has worked to build a team centered on both athletics and academics. In her eleven year tenure she has coached 20 First Team All-Conference Players, and two All-Americans. She led the team to five FSCAA State Tournament appearances, and won the programs first Southern Conference title in 2015. The team has earned IRSC’s Skull Award eight times, twice breaking school records for the highest team GPA.

Skidmore came to us from South Fork High School where she was named Treasure Lake Conference coach of the Year and Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers Coach of the year in fall of 2008. She coached South Fork to the school’s best start in 2008 and best finish in 2009 losing to the eventual state champions in the Regional Semi-Finals. Skidmore has also coached for Treasure Coast Juniors since 1998, where she was a part of the 2009 16 Club AAU National Championship Team.

Skidmore played for IRSC (then IRCC) from 1997-1999 where she was named Captain, MVP and was awarded All-conference and All-State honors. In 1999 she graduated from IRCC with her A.A. degree and was a top 10% scholar athlete both years. She continued her college career at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she again earned All-Conference and All-Region honors. She graduated in May 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and was named a NAIA All American Scholar-Athlete.
